Thief of Hearts is a 1984 movie starring Steven Bauer and Barbara Williams. The soundtrack to the movie features music by Harold Faltermeyer (known for his work with Donna Summer and for his international hit "Axel F" from the movie Beverly Hills Cop) and Giorgio Moroder (also known for his work with Donna Summer as well as Blondie and Irene Cara). Released on Casablanca and including performances by Melissa Manchester, Elizabeth (E.G.) Daily, and Joe Esposito, the album peaked at No. 179 on the Pop Albums Chart. The single "Thief of Hearts," sung by Melissa Manchester, reached No. 86 on the Pop Singles Chart. A remixed version of "Love in the Shadows" appears on E.G. Daily's 1985 solo album Wild Child.

Though now out of print, Thief of Hearts was available on CD for a time and even reissued with bonus tracks.
